On November 18 we celebrated our last monthly alumni dinner meeting for the century. Our speaker was CSUF President Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval who also attended our February 18, 2021 monthly Zoom meeting. Dr. Jiménez-Sandoval speaks several languages, plays the piano, zooms across campus on a scooter, and has a long list of other skills he wants to learn or improve on such as engraving and calculus. He has a love for food recreating recipes that have meaning to him and his family, but also indulging in the richness of the history and culture behind every dish. And he has a passion for the Valley and the power of Fresno State.
Dr. Jiménez-Sandoval talked to us about various subjects including the importance to Fresno State of agriculture, engineering and athletics. In the audience from the university brother Dr. Scott Moore who is the dean of the Division of Continuing and Global Education. He previously served as the associate dean and interim dean. He joined the campus in 1997 as an assistant professor. Also present was Peter Robertson who is Director of Development for the Fresno State Alumni Association. Peter is the important link between Fresno Sigma Endowment and the university. He is invaluable in ironing out the kinks in awarding our undergraduate brothers scholarships.
